Our approach
Four stages from first hypothesis to a decision your board can act on.
Market entry consulting only helps if the process matches how capital decisions are actually made. Our approach is deliberately linear: frame the thesis, gather New Zealand-specific evidence, pressure-test options with you, then support the decision — not an endless discovery loop.
Frame
We pin down the expansion hypothesis, capital window, non-negotiable constraints, and the questions your board must answer. Vague goals become written assumptions we can later prove or retire.
Evidence
Desk research from New Zealand sources, structured interviews, and — when the brief warrants it — observation in the cities or corridors under review. We record what we could not verify as clearly as what we could.
Options
You see trade-offs: owned presence versus partners, Auckland-first versus multi-city, speed versus capital intensity. We argue for a primary path and name the conditions that would reverse it.
Decision & landing
The entry memo and risk register go to your decision-makers. If you proceed, soft-landing support can follow with introductions and a practical checklist — still scoped, still finite.
What this is not
We are not a general management consultancy, a recruitment agency, or a law firm. When a brief needs counsel or specialist technical advice, we say so and work alongside your appointed professionals.
Start with a briefing
If you have an expansion question about New Zealand, request a briefing or review our consultations to see which engagement fits.
