Information we collect

  • Identity and contact details you submit via forms (name, email, message, consultation interest, market or region noted)
  • Correspondence sent to our email or phone
  • Limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed (if analytics cookies are accepted)
  • Client project information reasonably required to deliver consulting work

We do not ask for payment card numbers through this website.

Purpose of processing

We use personal information to respond to briefing requests, deliver contracted consulting, improve site usability (with consent for analytics), and meet legal obligations.

Where the Privacy Act 2020 applies, we process information as necessary to provide requested services, to take steps at your request before a contract, to comply with law, or with your consent (for optional analytics cookies).

Retention

Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months unless a client relationship continues. Engagement files are retained for seven years after project close for professional and accounting purposes, then securely deleted or anonymised where feasible. Analytics data follows the cookie durations described on our cookies page.

Sharing

We share personal information only with service providers who host email or infrastructure under confidentiality obligations, professional advisors when required, or authorities when legally compelled. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some infrastructure providers may process data outside New Zealand. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable safeguards consistent with the Privacy Act 2020.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions. Contact info@innovation-data.digital. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz) if you are not satisfied with our response.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure.
